Readers! You can take comfort in knowing that if we were to meet on the street and you were in need of First Aid, I could save you! Today I took a CPR certification course that trained in me in using First Aid, CPR on adults, children and infants as well as how to use an AED.
I took the course at Liberty University, through the Center for Professional and Continuing Education. What I loved most about the class was that the woman who led it is a Paramedic for the local Fire Department. She was obviously very credible and practical and told us things they didn't in the video. For example, did you know that when doing CPR you will probably break a few ribs? Like, you will hear them break and maybe even see them fall to the side. Crazy right? Maybe you're a smarty pants and knew that, but I didn't. She also was very thorough and made sure we all felt comfortable and encouraged us to ask questions throughout. She had a lot of experiences to share.
Well, now that I am certified you may not want to take a nap around me or I may go right into CPR! ((Ya hear that Mom & Pop-Pop?? haha)) JUST KIDDING! :-P
